View TranscriptBob: D-did you get anything from them?
Kirsten: They cried into my chest for like an hour and did, like, *nothing* else.
Bob: I'm worried about Alex. I've seen them depressed, but it's never been *this* bad.
And all over a li'l one night stand?
Kirsten: I mean, different people see sex differently.
I, personally, was a *nervous wreck* after Bianca and I did it for the first time.
Bob: That's... not something I'd wanna hear from my manager about...
Kirsten: Look, Bob, Alex is hurting. Badly.
Kirsten: The only thing we can really do is give them some space. They need to process some things.
Kirsten: Of course this also means that *we* need to pick up the slack around here.
Bob: Riiiiiiiiiiiiight.
Lemme guess, Anna, the usual?
Buff Hummingbird Girl (Anna): UH, FUCKING FINALLY!
6/12/2022, 11:45 AMI genuinely didn't think Kirsten would be this prominent in the arc, and honestly, I'm not complaining. She's a surprisingly strong character.
Speaking of strong characters, this strip features the surprise introduction of one Annabelle Beatrice Rufous (bonus points if you get the joke of her name), a character that I really wanted to incorporate into the strip somehow, I just never knew how. So, her debut is a bit part. I'll figure something out though, I mean you don't become Lissa's rival for nothing.
6/12/2022, 12:17 PMAnna's just super impatient but she's also probably been waiting for like twenty minutes, so...
And Kirsten is a good boss. Part of that's probably the deep-set fear that somehow one of her employees is going to end up completely burnt out like her.
