View Transcript Lissa: So, uh...
...helluva blizzard, huh?
Hannah: Gah! Again!

Hannah: This is like, the third time, too!
All I want is some damn boat time with you!
Lissa: I mean, isn't this *technically* boat time?

Hannah: I mean *outside* boat time!
The weather's *never* as good as they forecast!
Lissa: Heh. Yeah. Our local meteorologists are *total shit*.

Lissa: Hey, if it's worth anything, I *am* wearing my swimsuit underneath, if *that's* what you meant by "boat time".
Hannah: How can you be so positive about this?

Lissa: Because it's not about the boat, Hannah. It's never *been* about the boat.
It's because I get to spend time with you.
And honestly, that's all I need.

Lissa: Also, y'know, it gives me an excuse to wear this thing.
It's like *wicked* comfy.
I haven't worn a normal bra for *weeks*
Hannah: Good lord, woman.

Author Notes

3/20/2022, 12:42 PM This strip features two running gags: Davidsville's fucked-up weather and Lissa's preference for her swimsuit over actual bras. Speaking of the latter, while strip 69 (nice) featured the first instance of the gag, this is the strip that sets it in stone.

I also just think this strip is really sweet. Lissa and Hannah's relationship is truly the eighth wonder of the world.

Comments:

3/20/2022, 8:15 PM I really do like Lissa and Hannah's relationship a lot. They're my favorite couple next to Steve and Little David (kidding!)
3/20/2022, 8:35 PM I mean, Steve and Tiny David have a special relationship, too. They're definitely more than just friends, but they're also definitely not, like, romantically involved. I mean, Steve is straight, and Tiny David, well, his sexuality won't become important until arc 8 (and yes, I have plans for arc 8, I just need to survive arc 7 first). Still, much like Lissa and Hannah have the strongest romantic relationship out of the main cast, Steve and Tiny David have the strongest platonic one.
3/20/2022, 8:55 PM That makes sense. I felt like they had a pretty strong connection.
4/3/2022, 5:13 PM I feel them on the neverending blizzard scenario
4/3/2022, 6:25 PM Honestly I'm lucky I've never been in total blizzard conditions before.
4/3/2022, 6:27 PM It's not pleasant. It's cold and wet and then you spend an hour shoveling your driveway just for the plow truck to bury you in again
